the article considers the composition of waste of a copper processing plant, waste of a copper processing plant in recent years has occupied several hectares of land, at the same time the quantitative composition of valuable elements and components increases. For the extraction of iron, the composition of chemical iron-containing elements was studied, it was determined that the tailings contain iron metasilicate (II) (FeSiO3), experiments were conducted to reduce iron and thermodynamic processes and reaction kinetics were studied.
