MEANS OF MASS INFORMATION AS A SUBJECT OF PUBLIC CONTROL AND ANTI-CORRUPTION

This article explores the role of the media as a subject of public control in the context of anti-corruption. The authors analyze the influence of the media on the identification, disclosure and suppression of acts of corruption in various societies. Particular attention is paid to the mechanisms and tools used by journalists and publications to uncover corruption schemes, as well as their role in shaping public opinion and putting pressure on the authorities to combat corruption. As a result of the study, a conclusion is drawn about the importance of the independence of the media, their ethics and professionalism in implementing the function of public control over corruption.
