The article analyzes the means of expressing linguo-pragmatic goals and actions in epistolary texts in biographical works. In addition, the linguo-pragmatic potential of epistolary technique examples in biographical works is interpreted as the pragmatic influence of language, the expressive use of linguistic means by the author of the epistolary text, directed to a specific goal. General principles of linguopragmatics, classifications given to linguopragmatics and the theory of scientific research are also described.
