This article explores the lives and scholarly activities of scholars who have made significant contributions to Uzbekistan's ethnography. The works of Ahmad Donish, V. V. Bartold, S. P. Tolstov, A. A. Divayev, M. E. Masson, Yahyo Gulomov, Habibulla Boboyev, Rahmatulla Zohidov, Shavkat Rahmonov, and Ruza Balliyeva, who made significant contributions to the study of the customs, traditions, and material and spiritual culture of the Uzbek people, were analyzed. The scientific heritage of these researchers has not lost its significance even today, thanks to their works, one can deeply comprehend the historical and cultural development of the Uzbek people. The article provides general information about these scholars' contributions to Uzbekistan's ethnography and their research directions.
