This article examines the emergence, development, achievements, benefits and future prospects of the sport of athletics. In our country, consistent measures are being taken to popularize physical education and sports, create the necessary conditions and infrastructure for promoting a healthy lifestyle among the population, especially young people, and ensure the country's worthy participation in international sports arenas. Also, measures for the development of sports in our country have been developed and implemented on a large scale. That is why our country has a huge potential for the development of sports.
