The article examines the topical issue of the relationship between two principles in the legal regulation of social relations: normative and individual. Regulatory legal regulation and individual legal regulation are objectively necessary; they operate in the general system of legal regulation, complementing each other, interacting and thereby harmonizing it, increasing reliability and efficiency. Problem: analyzing the views of legal scholars studying this issue, the author believes that normativity is a property of law, although not the only one, which clearly manifests itself in the legal regulation of various social relations that fall within the sphere of influence of law. Purpose: to consider the relationship in the legal regulation of social relations between two principles: normative and individual.
