This article presents a theoretical analysis of the socio-psychological foundations of educating university students in the spirit of gender equality. The concept of gender equality is directly related to principles of social justice, sustainable development, and human rights in modern society. The paper applies approaches such as social constructivism, gender schema theory, social learning theory, and critical pedagogy to examine how gender awareness is formed among young people. It highlights the influence of stereotypes, social roles, and cultural factors on students’ psychological development and identity formation. The role of higher education institutions in cultivating gender-sensitive values is also considered. Based on theoretical analysis, the article proposes structured conclusions and practical recommendations aimed at fostering inclusive and equitable educational environments.
