MORPHOLOGICAL CHANGES IN EXPERIMENTAL BRAIN INJURY AND THEIR IMPACT ON THE EFFECTIVENESS OF INTENSIVE CARE

This scientific article experimentally studied the morphological characteristics of hemorrhagic foci at different stages of traumatic brain injury in albino mongrel rats. The aim of the study was to identify histomorphological changes occurring in the brain after mechanical traumatic brain injury and to evaluate their progression over time. Experiments were conducted under isoflurane anesthesia, using a pendulum to create a standard model of mechanical trauma. On days 1, 3, 7, and 14 post-injury, hemorrhage, neuronal degeneration, edema, and microcirculation disturbances in brain tissue were studied using microscopic and histochemical methods. The results showed a predominance of acute hemorrhagic changes in the early stages of traumatic brain injury, followed by the development of reparative processes and gliosis in the later stages. Based on the data obtained, determining the morphological dynamics of hemorrhagic foci serves to improve intensive care strategies for traumatic brain injuries. The study's results are important for the scientific substantiation of diagnostic and therapeutic approaches in modern neurotraumatology.
