Application of osteoplastic biocomposites in the correction of jaw defects

The article discusses modern approaches to the use of osteoplastic biocomposites for the reconstruction of jawbone defects following cystectomy. A review of national and international literature and clinical data was carried out to evaluate the effectiveness of various biocomposite materials. Special attention is given to next-generation materials such as “Osteomatrix,” which combines organic (collagen, sulfated glycosaminoglycans) and mineral (hydroxyapatite) components. The study presents evidence of high biocompatibility and osteogenic potential of these materials, which enhance reparative osteogenesis and promote the formation of mature bone tissue without inflammatory reactions. The conclusion emphasizes the prospects of using biocomposites based on natural hydroxyapatite and collagen for the reconstruction of jaw defects.
