This article considers the issue of cleaning speech signals from various noises.Improving the quality and ensuring the accuracy of speech signals is relevant for modern voicecommunication systems. The study analyzes the performance of the Soft Thresholding (SR) andAdaptive Smoothing Soft Thresholding (ASST) algorithms. A comparison of the algorithms basedon SNR (signal-to-noise ratio) indicators is presented, and it is determined that the ASSTalgorithm shows superior results. Also, information is provided about the importance of methodssuch as Short-Term Energy (STE) and pre-emphasis filters.
