This article discusses the problem of researching methods for processing histological images and conducting computational experiments based on them. Among the existing processing methods, methods of background removal and contrast limited adaptive histogram equalization have been studied. The approach of the proposed method is aimed at improving image quality with minimal loss of features in the image. When implementing this approach using the background removal method, processing of sections of parts of the image was carried out in the form of a circle. The contrast limited adaptive histogram equalization method used histogram normalization and mathematical statistics tools. A software tool was developed to conduct experiments using the methods under study. To evaluate the improvement in image quality, computational experiments were carried out using quality control criterions. The software tool can be used to improve the quality of medical images.
