Аннотация
The article is devoted to one of the valuable works of Alisher Navai, written during his arrival in Samarkand. In 1465-1469 Navay lived and studied in Samarkand. During these years, he compiled an Arabic-Turkic dictionary called "Sab'atu-abhur" - "Seven Seas". It gives a glossary and commentary on the Turkic language of more than 6,000 words, terms and expressions from the Arabic language. When compiling the dictionary, Nava'i uses seven famous dictionaries compiled in Persian. On this occasion, he calls his work a pearl extracted from the seven seas. This dictionary is appreciated by the fact that it was compiled in a period when Arabic linguistics in this direction was much weakened. The article provides information about the compositional structure of the dictionary, about its study by linguists, as well as about its originality and difference from other dictionaries.
