Annotatsiya

This study provides a comparative evaluation of conventional and modern grain drying technologies, focusing on energy efficiency, moisture removal uniformity, and their impact on the final product quality. Traditional convective and mine-type dryers are shown to exhibit high energy consumption, low productivity, and significant processing losses. Modern drum, modular, and automated systems offer improved stability and drying control, yet remain limited by the physical constraints of heat and mass transfer. In this context, the article explores the prospects of implementing ultra-high-frequency (UHF/MW) drying technologies, which are based on volumetric heating and significantly reduced processing times. The advantages, potential economic benefits, and possible application areas in the agro-industrial sector are discussed.
