Analysis of the Interrelationship Between the Structural Units of the Public Catering Lexical System in English and Uzbek and Linguocultural Factors

This article examines the relationships among the structural units of the public catering lexical system in English and Uzbek and the linguocultural factors underlying their formation and use. The study provides a comparative analysis of the role of national and cultural factors in the formation, semantic development, and functioning of lexical units related to public catering. Particular attention is paid to the ways in which national dishes, eating traditions, customs, and cultural values of English- and Uzbek-speaking communities are reflected in the lexical systems of the two languages. The study demonstrates that public catering vocabulary is closely associated with national worldviews, cultural experience, and traditional patterns of everyday life. From a linguocultural perspective, the study identifies and characterizes similarities and differences between English and Uzbek lexical units related to food and catering, thereby revealing the specific verbal representations of the culinary cultures of the two nations.
