Annotatsiya
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic inflammatory disease of the central nervous system that can manifest with various neurological disorders. Young patients often present with acute attacks such as visual disturbances (optic neuritis), paresthesias, and limb weakness. Usually more favorable, as younger individuals may have less disability and a higher likelihood of remission. Cognitive impairment, such as memory and attention difficulties, is often seen, but may be less severe compared to older age groups. Symptoms may become more varied and chronic in patients in the middle age group. Movement disorders, spasticity, and fatigue are common. The risk of disease progression increases, which can lead to more pronounced disability. Cognitive impairment becomes more prominent, and problems with emotional regulation may occur. Older patients may have more severe forms of MS with pronounced neurological impairments such as impaired coordination, speech, and swallowing problems.
