Objective:  This article examines the influence of comorbidities and individual factors on the development and severity of alopecia in patients after bariatric surgery. Materials and Methods: The study analyzed clinical, demographic, and anamnestic data from 321 patients, divided into groups based on the severity and location of hair loss using the Sinclair classification. Results: The results showed that the presence of type 2 diabetes mellitus and hypertension was not significantly associated with the level and severity of alopecia (p=0.490), indicating a weak relationship between these conditions and hair loss progression. It was also found that the location of the lesion is more often determined by individual characteristics of skin structures and blood supply, rather than the presence of concomitant metabolic pathologies. Conclusion: This study highlights the need for a comprehensive and personalized approach to the diagnosis and treatment of alopecia in postbariatric patients, taking into account their genetic, metabolic, and environmental factors.
