This research work is devoted to the study of entrepreneurial competencies of students of technical universities, their focus on entrepreneurial activity, as well as the features and legal framework for preparing students of higher educational institutions for entrepreneurial activity. Based on the results of the study, the features of entrepreneurial activity, their legal framework and general approaches were analyzed.
