In this article, it is studied in Uzbek and world linguistics, its methodological features, their types, independent education and its task, in particular, problems related to working on text and vocabulary in teaching linguistics, as well as their Research issues at the level of higher education have been studied. In particular, the wide possibilities of independent education are explained through the linguistic sciences, and its importance is explained through the analysis of vivid examples.
