Annotatsiya
This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the formation, history, and political influence of the Kungrat tribe, which played a significant role in the ethnogenesis of Central Asia and other Turkic peoples, based on medieval and 16th-17th century written sources. The study comparatively examines the original texts of sources from the 13th century to the Ashtarkhanid period—such as "The Mysterious History of the Mongols," "Yuan Shi," "Jame at-Tawarih," "Tarihi Jahangushoy," "Zafarnoma," "Shajarayi Turk," "Shaybaniynoma," "Tarihi Muqimkhoni," and "Bahr ul-Asrar"—and reveals the unique role of the Kungrat clan in state administration, military operations, and kinship relations.
