The article deals with the harmonization of certain provisions of criminal procedure legislation with international law and the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Specific proposals have been put forward to develop credible mechanisms to ensure the protection of legitimate interests in the pre-trial proceedings, in the conduct of investigative actions and procedural actions of confiscation of property, listening to conversations conducted by means of search, telephone and other telecommunication devices.
