The article reveals the essence, classification and role of technological components that determine modern communication. The impact of social networks, e–mail, video conferencing systems and mobile applications on the communication process is shown on the basis of statistical data. A comparative analysis of the advantages and negative consequences of digital communication is also conducted. The results obtained serve as a basis for developing practical recommendations for improving the study of the language of modern mobile communication.
