This article analyzes the development of trade and entrepreneurship in the city of Khojaly during the years following the independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan. It examines the formation of market relations, privatization of state property, the growth of small business and private entrepreneurship, the expansion of trade infrastructure, and the establishment of industrial enterprises. The paper also highlights the economic significance of major industrial sectors in Khojaly, particularly cotton processing and glass production. The role of trade and entrepreneurship in the socio-economic development of the region is analyzed based on historical sources.
