At the present stage, issues of legal regulation and protection of consumer rights have become particularly relevant in the context of the rapid digitalization of the economy. This is primarily due to the fact that a significant part of consumer relations has shifted to the digital environment, including e-commerce, online services, and platform-based business models. At the same time, there is an increasing number of disputes related to violations of consumer rights on digital platforms. In this regard, there is a growing need to improve the regulatory framework, develop effective protection mechanisms, and strengthen institutional guarantees for ensuring consumer rights in the digital environment.
