The Origins of the Waqf Charitable Public Fund in Uzbekistan and its Connection to Under Islamic Law

Annotatsiya

This research article analyzes the establishment of the Waqf organization in Uzbekistan, as well as its main activities, working mechanisms, and substantial role in society. The article also touches upon the importance of developing a separate law for waqf organizations as their significant role in supporting low-income citizens is on the rise. Issues such as waqf registration, liability for looting waqf property, and the involvement of courts in this regard were also clearly described in the article. In addition, the article sheds light on the legal status and organizational structure of waqf organizations, which are thoroughly described.
