Scholars from Movarunnahr and Khorasan played a key role in the development of Islamic sciences. Among them, the great scholar Imam Darimi made a great contribution to the development of Hadith studies. Of great importance are the life and scientific works of Imam Abu Muhammad Abdullah ibn Abdurrahman ibn Fazl ibn Bahram Tamimi Samarkandi Dorimi (798-869/181-255), who lived and worked in Movarunnahr in the 9th century. The work of this muhaddith “Sunan” plays an important role in a deeper understanding of our cultural heritage and the enhancement of the spiritual potential of our people.
