THE CURRENT STATE AND DEVELOPMENT TRENDS OF THE SMALL BUSINESS SECTOR IN THE REPUBLIC AND ITS IMPACT ON HUMAN CAPITAL

This article analyzes the current state and key development trends of the small business sector in the Republicof Uzbekistan during 2021–2025 based on official statistical data. The role of small entrepreneurship in gross domesticproduct, services, industry, construction, retail trade, and exports is assessed, and the differences between quantitativeexpansion and structural transformation are identified. The impact of small business development on human capital issubstantiated through employment opportunities, workplace learning, demand for digital and managerial competencies,export activities, and income generation. Based on the research findings, an approach is proposed that interprets theimpact of small business on human capital through the chain of “employment – competencies – experience – income –reinvestment.”
