This article provides an in-depth analysis of developing students’ academicwriting competence through the use of authentic materials in the process of teaching English. Thestudy examines the linguistic, psychological, and methodological foundations of writing skills andreveals the didactic potential of authentic materials. It also analyzes their advantages anddisadvantages and proposes an effective methodological model. The results of the studydemonstrate that the systematic use of authentic materials significantly improves the quality ofwritten speech
