EVALUATION OF THE EFFECTIVENESS OF LAVIEN IN THE ACUTE PERIOD OF ISCHEMIC STROKE OF CARDIOGENIC ETIOLOGY AND ITS SECONDARY HEMODYNAMIC EFFECTS

The article presents the results of the open longitudinal study of two parallel groups in which the effect of the Lavien on the clinical course of acute ischemic stroke and it’s secondary hemodynamic effects were studied. Patients in the first group (n=20) received a traditional therapy of ischemic stroke, second group (n=20) — Lavien at dose 10.0 ml twice daily intravenously and traditional therapy of ischemic stroke for 10 days. The results showed that the addition of Lavien to traditional therapy of ischemic stroke effectively reduces the cerebral edema, which plays an important role in early and late neuronal damage. The treatment was accompanied by a significant improvement in clinical course of the disease, a rapid decrease of the perifocal edema zone confirmed by the neurological deficit decrease, according to the clinical scales data and the results of dopplerography.
