Annotatsiya
The article provides data on the study of the effect of chemo-induced polyneuropathy (HIPN) on the daily activity and quality of life of patients with ovarian cancer, as well as evaluating the effectiveness of the use of antioxidants and nucleotides in combination with antitumor drugs to reduce the severity of HIPN and improve the quality of life of patients. The patients were divided into two groups: group A (n=40) received chemotherapy with taxanes and/or platinum compounds combined with antioxidants and nucleotides, while group B (n=30) received standard treatment. The assessment of HIPN symptoms and quality of life was carried out using the FACT/GOG-Ntx and EORTC QLQ-CIPN20 questionnaires. In group A, there was a significant improvement on the FACT/GOG-Ntx scale, especially in reducing sensory, motor and autonomic symptoms after three cycles of chemotherapy. In group B, improvements were less pronounced, and some patients reported worsening symptoms. Statistical analysis showed a significant decrease in the severity of symptoms in group A (p<0.05), while changes in group B were not statistically significant (p>0.05).
