Annotatsiya
This review systematizes current data on the epidemiology, clinical presentation (cyanotic and pallid types), diagnosis (history + iron deficiency screening), and treatment of affective-respiratory attacks (ARAs). Special attention is given to pathogenetic therapy with iron preparations as a highly effective method leading to the reduction or cessation of attacks. The importance of timely correction of iron deficiency anemia (IDA) and latent iron deficiency (LID) is emphasized not only for controlling ARAs but also for ensuring optimal cognitive and behavioral development in the child. The review is intended for pediatricians, neurologists, and primary care physicians to optimize the management of patients with ARAs based on evidence-based data.
