The article deals with the situation on the labor market in connection with the problem of adaptation of young people to the labor market in the conditions of economic crisis, the transition of their society to market relations. It is studied that changes in all spheres of society's life affect the process of adaptation of young people, cause significant variability in their attitude to life and allow them to reconsider their life values. It also described the social adaptation of young people in the labor market and analyzed the opinions of a number of scientists. The fact that there are several problems with the employment adaptation plan was considered. The author analyzed the attitude of young people to the process of adaptation and selection to the profession. Social problems of youth in the sphere of labor and employment are considered. The article lists a number of objective reasons that determine the low competitiveness of young people in the labor market. Using the example of young people, the level of employment and unemployment of people, their position in the modern labor market is estimated. The article suggests measures to solve the problems of social adaptation of young people in the labor market.
