THE MAIN APPROACHES IN THE STUDY OF DISABILITY

Аннотация
The article explores "disability" in terms of different approaches. From a sociological point of view, disability has been analyzed as a social phenomenon. In modern scientific literature, various definitions of disability have been analyzed. Based on the analysis of the medical and social model of disability, he substantiated the relevance of the socio-cultural model, which is most relevant in modern society. There is also a comment on a mixture of disability medical and charitable models in Uzbekistan. The article analyzes all the causes of disability from the basis of the biomedical, socio- psychological, economic and legal aspect. The main models of understanding disability are considered, the issue of barrier-free space as the basis of the social model is touched upon.
