INCREASING STUDENTS' POLITICAL AWARENESS IN SOCIAL SCIENCES TEACHING

The article examines the philosophical and methodological foundations of forming and improving students’ political consciousness in the process of teaching social sciences in higher education institutions. The author analyzes the impact of globalization, the information environment, and political socialization institutions on youth political worldview development. Special attention is paid to the role of philosophy as a worldview and methodological basis for political culture formation, as well as to the importance of pragmatic and critical thinking. The paper substantiates the dialectical interrelation between political consciousness and moral, legal, aesthetic, and religious forms of social consciousness within the framework of the unity of education and upbringing.
