Definitions of violence and related approaches are analyzed. The key features of the socio-psychological state of victims of violence are identified, and the necessity of a gender-sensitive approach in developing prevention and support measures is emphasized, along with outlining directions for further research. The study reveals that the gender dimension of traumatic experience is not a secondary context, but a key analytical tool for understanding the mechanisms of victimization, social exclusion, and the possibilities of psychological rehabilitation. Recognizing gender differences in the consequences of violence provides a foundation for building a more inclusive and effective system of human rights protection and social support for victims of violence.
