Abstract
The article analyzes the cultural and economic relations of the Khwarezm oasis with the regions of the Lower Volga and Southern Siberia from ancient times to the 19th century, based on historical sources and linguistic research. The author classifies the available sources into three chronological groups, examining the influence of the Khwarezmian language on the languages of neighboring peoples (Komi-Udmurt, Ossetian), and investigates factual data in the works of ancient authors, medieval Arab-Persian geographers, and European travelers. Through a comparative analysis of primary sources, the article highlights the issues of trade routes and the cultural synthesis of Khwarezm with northern regions.
