Annotaciya
This article elucidates the theoretical foundations and effectiveness of the WorkFit Sitting Intervention Program (WFSIP), a pedagogical model designed to mitigate the effects of prolonged sedentary work among university faculty. The study was conducted as a three-group randomized controlled trial (N=120) in accordance with CONSORT 2010 guidelines. The WFSIP curriculum comprises modules for dynamic leg exercises, shoulder and arm endurance, posture strengthening, and breathing and stretching. Following a six-week intervention, the experimental group demonstrated a 38–45% improvement in functional indicators (Cohen's d=0.98–1.12), with positive changes also observed in cardiovascular and cognitive-motor metrics. The results confirm that the WFSIP program is efficient in terms of both time and resources.
