Abstract
The article discusses the role of the Qashqar rubob in contemporary performanceand orchestral practice within the folk instrument orchestra. The historical and cultural foundationsof incorporating musical instruments into the orchestra, as well as the instrument's structural,timbral, and artistic features, are analyzed. Special attention is being paid to the functionalcharacteristics of the Kashgar rubab as a musical instrument and a solo instrument, as well as itsadaptation to the multi-part orchestral texture. It is concluded that the Kashgar rubab played animportant role in shaping the national-stylistic identity of the folk instrument orchestra andpreserving the traditions of musical culture.
