Abstract
This article examines the development of sound design in the late 20th and early 21stcenturies, focusing on the implementation of digital technologies and their impact on cinema and theatricalarts. The emergence of multichannel audio systems such as Dolby Digital, DTS, SDDS, and IMAX hasfundamentally transformed the artistic and aesthetic dimension of the sound environment, introducing newdramaturgical possibilities for audience perception. Particular emphasis is placed on the role of digitaltechnologies in shaping the “DIY” concept and simplifying access to audio materials through the internet
