Abstract

This article analyzes the role and theoretical foundations of Uzbek drama during the Jadid movement in the early 20th century in the formation and development of national theatre art. The article concludes that the drama created by the Jadids served as a solid foundation for the new European-style Uzbek theatre and still retains its relevance today
