RELATIONS BETWEEN THE KHOREZM OASIS AND THE LOWER VOLGA REGIONS IN THE 15TH–16TH CENTURIES

Since the 15th century, as a result of the disintegration of the Golden Horde state, the Khorezm oasis has also been involved in the political processes of this region. This situation, in turn, has certainly undermined the long-standing historical ties of Khorezm with the Lower Volga regions. However, the analysis of written sources, as well as archaeological and numismatic sources, shows that the ties of the Khorezm oasis with the Lower Volga regions did not cease even in the 15th-16th centuries. In this regard, this article analyzes the problematic situations, controversial issues and views that still exist on this topic.
