This article analyzes certain aspects of the external diplomatic and trade relations of the Khiva Khanate. In particular, the study examines the diplomatic missions conducted by the khanate with Iran and Russia, trade activities, and the formation of mutual political and economic relations based on historical sources. The article also provides a scholarly analysis of the nature and significance of interstate contacts. During the research process, existing academic literature related to the topic and the views of various scholars were examined, which allowed the author to formulate general scientific conclusions.
