Abstract
This article explains the provisions of the decree “On the Liquidation of Large Non-Laboring Farms in the Khorezm Okrug” which served as the legal basis for the land and water reforms carried out in 1928–1929 in the Khorezm Okrug of the Uzbek SSR. The content and implementation processes of the land and water reform are analyzed on the basis of historical sources and archival documents.
