Аннотация

The article provides a comprehensive historical and source-critical analysis of the manshur appointing Khoja Nasir al-Khattat as custodian and administrator of the library, as recorded in Zayn ad-Din Mahmud Wasifi’s “Bada’i al-Waqayi”. It examines the historical-political context, compositional structure of the document, stable formulas of official documentation, the functions of the library administrator, and the semantic scope of the term “darugha”. Comparison with other documents composed by Wasifi reveals continuity in the traditions of official documentation in Khorasan and Transoxiana during the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries.
