This article analyzes the role of the mahalla institution in the formation and development of reading culture in society from a scientific and theoretical perspective. The study reveals the social essence of reading culture, its importance in the spiritual development of individuals, and the educational potential of the mahalla environment. The role of cooperation between the mahalla, family, and educational institutions in promoting reading culture is examined. In addition, scientific and practical recommendations aimed at developing reading culture throughthe mahalla institution are proposed.
