The reorientation of the lifelong education system towards planning and monitoring the educational process with constant monitoring of the tasks and prospects for the development of the student's personality requires the training of a teacher who is able to assess the results of his own work and the work of students at the proper level and using modern means. This means that modern education needs teachers who have a progressive arsenal of pedagogical diagnostics, who are able to use instrumental methods of quantitative assessment of results as a means of finding reserves for improving teaching and educational work.
