Abstract
The art of baxshy in Karakalpakstan is one of the unique and ancient forms of oral folk tradition. Its origins trace back to the epic traditions of early Turkic peoples. Baxshys conveyed historical events, public life, and the hopes and dreams of the people through their performances. Karakalpak baxshichilik developed primarily through the narration of epic poems (dastans) and musical storytelling, playing a significant role in the moral and spiritual upbringing of society. Today, this art remains an important element of Karakalpak national culture.
