Abstract

One of the most famous jiraw (traditional Karakalpak storytellers and musicians) was Izymbet jiraw, who lived in the southern regions of Karakalpakstan in the late 19th and early 20th centuries and made a significant contribution to the history of Karakalpak jiraw art. This article presents information about his life and work, his children and grandchildren, which has not been found in any other sources before.
