ASSOCIATIVE PERCEPTION OF FRUIT AND BERRY NAMES IN ENGLISH AND RUSSIAN LINGUISTIC CULTURES

This article is devoted to the study of associative perception of names of fruits and berries in English and Russian linguistic cultures. In turn, this work was carried out in the course of psycholinguistic research on the problems of perception features. In modern science, the problems of the essence of the process of language categorization, the influence of the features of human consciousness and national language on the formation of categories are still debatable. Questions about the structure of categories and their components, the relationship of category units, the possibility of a final description of the essential features of categories, and the significance of the achievements of category theory for lexicography and other applied fields are far from being resolved. The theoretical and methodological foundations of the study of language categorization need to be clarified: the conceptual and terminological apparatus serving this field of science cannot be called definitively developed, it is necessary to clarify and Supplement the methodological principles of the study of language categorization and improve the methodology for the study of lexical categories. Currently, there is no systematic classification of categorization types and types of categories.
