Abstract
This article examines the preservation, musealization, and tourism integration of cultural heritage sites. It analyzes the open-air museum concept, its scientific-ethnographic significance, and restoration processes during Uzbekistan's independence. Archaeological excavations at the Akchakhan-kala monument in Karakalpakstan, discovered wall paintings, ceramics, and ivory artifacts, as well as their conservation methods, are discussed in detail. The research serves as an important source for studying ancient technologies.
