PROFESSIONAL WEB COMPETENCE OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHERS

Abstract

The issues of professional Web competence of English language teachers are considered in this article. The article analyzes in detail the component composition of the structure of the professional Web competence of an English teacher, which consists of technical, pedagogical, communicative, reflexive, creative components and develops descriptors for determining the level of formation of the professional Web competence of an English teacher. Moreover, the author distinguishes such terms as “ICT literacy”, “digital literacy”, “computer literacy”, “medialiteracy”, ICT competence”, “informational competence”, “Web literacy”, “Web competence”.
